How to Use Interlibrary Loan: Request Submitted, Now What?

This guide will help you determine whether Interlibrary Loan is the right choice as well as create an Interlibrary Loan request.

After Your Request is Submitted

Once your request has been submitted a library staff member will review and process it. You will need to keep an eye on your email for one of three emails:

  1. If the item cannot be found library staff will email a request for more information
  2. If the item still cannot be found it will be canceled and an email notification will be sent to alert you.
  3. If the item is found you will receive an email once the item is available for you to pick up or a link and password to download a PDF.

Once your item is available for pick up you can stop by the library front desk at anytime the library is open. Be aware of the item's due date and return it on time or request a renewal before the due date arrives.
